Not this year. Possibly allowing an increase next season. Any six fig offer and he will be off. Last year of his contract so the club can't afford to turn it down. It won't be popular but that's the reality of the post Bosman transfer market.
DA has also said most of a transfer fee would go on debt reduction a couple of years ago at the fans forum - the selling club comment

If Higdon was two years younger and wages were right, yes.

As much as I like Cooper - Hird is sufficient cover in my opinion should he depart
The need for a striker is far more important to be honest

@Gids1980: Sources in WYorks say #lufc have expressed an interest in #chesterfieldfc defender Liam Cooper. (1/2)

It's unclear wether #lufc have followed up that interest with anything concrete. They could I suppose just be testing the water. (2/2)
Not sure they have a lot to spend do they!?

Thanks, Blue - I couldn't remember the figure. That will probably have the heaviest influence as to what fee we * might * accept, if there's any substance to a potential bid. The net figure after the sell-on clause will be the bottom line for CFC.

If he does get the chance, he'd be silly not to take it. The fee needs to be right though - How many years does he have left on his deal?

Leeds received £11 million for McCormack didn't they? Hold em to ransom I say.
35% to hull would be heart breaking. We would have to put the same sell on clause to any buyers.

Do we actually this 35% figure is true?

Think it was actually £9.5m in the end despite the reports of £11m.

Can now say what I couldn't last night...a bid from Leeds in the offing for Chesterfield's Liam Cooper. Expression of interest so far #lufc

Understand Chesterfield value Cooper at around £1m. There is a sell-on clause for former club #hcafc. Other Champ clubs could rival Leeds.

Not sure that would be enough to keep him here, the deciding factor must surely be the money.
Doubtless Leeds can offer him more but by all accounts they are in for a difficult season, so he may want to bide his time.

If that's true, it shows that Hull rated him very highly and expected him to make the grade
