Completely ridiculous to say £15 is too much for friendly games

Matlock, Buxton, Alfreton all charged £8-10 to watch games in non league (very non league) stadia - so an extra fiver to watch in a proper ground against higher division opposition is about right

Price is fair and anyone who says it isn't is talking rubbish, wonder if the same people moaning about the price are those saying we should spend money on a striker to show ambition etc etc etc

And anyone citing the price as a reason or not going is just making excuses, not hard to save £15 from your weekly outgoings, it is only the price of 4 pints, 1 dominos pizza or 2 packs of cigarettes!

Last season there was 4 friendlies with an offer on for 3 of them, I'm glad there are only 2 this season, not because of the price but because I don't want injuries to the first team

Lots of people who are on nmw who have to pay rent or a mortgage and feed their kids ect might disagree with you.

yawn....cartman in sanctomonious rant against town fans shocker. Just cause people have opinions you don't agree with doesn't mean they are whiney or needy or whatever other of the repetitive shots you use at them.
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything!

?? we have had probably more friendlies this season than last if you consider we also play them away. add to that the select XI games too.

And people with no mortgage, and/or on £150k a year might agree with him

When all said and done, it's just a kick about.
The "competitive" Huddersfield match is cheaper.

The Urinals, are charging £7, for their matches against Huddersfield & Fenerbahçe S.K.
They charged £5 for Fridays match v Dundee.

Now who's being fair?
'Veni, Vidi, Velcro' - I came, I saw, I stuck around.

They charged £5 against Dundee and got about 500 fewer fans in to watch it.

I don't smoke, don't drink a great deal, hardly ever eat Dominoes pizza and could easily afford it. However, I remember a time when I wasn't in this position and so therefore feel for those that thought it was a bit beyond them - I understand that completely. Your total lack of compassion for those not in the same boat as you is really poor.

no lack of compassion at all - if someone really wanted to go, no matter if they are on minimum wage or even on the dole they could have found £15 to go

Everyone who wanted to go to the game and had the time free went, lowering the price would not have increased the attendance, anyone who didn't go and are now saying price was too high would not have gone anyway!

Too true, this divisive stuff is becoming a bit sickening

Just let people decide with thier pockets

It's all about supply and demand and thier just isn't the demand for friendlies against Leeds,
Accentuate th Positive, eliminate the negative

Ultimately, it's for the club to put a product out there that people will pay for.

I wonder whether there'd have been a better show if there were 1 or 2 new signings on display? Those sorts of things can make friendlies more appealing.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

You are absolutely clueless; £15 to someone on the dole isn't even a weeks worth of food, never mind factoring in other bills! Ffs, pathetic ignorance at its worst!

Surely if you're choosing between food and football then it's a simple choice...

It's a tough world but sometimes you have to cut your cloth accordingly, it doesn't mean that the football was too expensive, just that you had other priorities.

I don't think it really matters - PSF are always a fairly low gate - unless its a game on the back of a couple of huge marquee signings or a huge club like Man Utd Arsenal where some star players will be on show.etc.

Leeds, despite being a well supported club are not a massive attraction for a friendly - they are a midtable championship side with no big name players, and we don't have any new signings.

If it had been £7 a ticket we wouldn't have sold that many more - IMO of course.

A new hope.
