Had the pleasure of talking to Dave Allen yesterday and although disappointed with the attendance he was raving about young Curtis Morrisson. I must agree, although only a brief appearance at Alfreton and Leeds he is showing that he has got huge potential, a player to watch.

I bet he wasn't as disappointed as I was, when he pulled the plug on the Higdon deal ! .... Even If it WAS the sensible thing to do :(

We are all disappointed but we have to move on and get behind the team, starting with the Villa game.

Yes, it was the first time I have seen the lad yesterday and it was only brief, as you say, but I'd like to see more of him, possibly against Villa ?
.... Definitely worth another look IMO .... He looked quite useful and seemed to be confident too.

Anything over 2000 home fans is decent for such low quality opposition

On his brief showing yesterday I would keep him around the first team squad, put him on the bench, give him ten minutes here and there. He looks like a player bursting to improve, I think to do that he needs to be around the senior game more.

Agree with that. He looks like he could be a useful ( and much needed ) addition to the squad. Given the right opportunities, he could rise to the challenge .... and who knows where it might lead, eventually !

Yesterday was the first time I've ever seen him, and it was hard to say at that stage in the game but I think we used him on the left hand side of the attacking three.

How does 4000 compare with last years home friendlies? Seemed quite a good turnout for a friendly on a sunny day and in the season where there are other things available for people to do. I hope there was a thank you from him for the people who did turn up, before he bemoaned the 4000 who did support them

Two and a bit thousand to be fair, if you discount the 1700 or so from Leeds

As the second striker in a 4-5-1 formation, that was at alfreton. Very pacey with a few tricks. 16! Unbelievable Jeff!

Leeds are by far and away the biggest club the new ground has hosted.

Everyone was buzzing last year at the CC draw so what's changed?

The low crowds at these games are due to pricing and lack of signings.

The villa game will be lower gate still.
