They've sold about 1300 hundred then :D

I think 130,000 is a little optimistic.
I just don't know what I'm supposed to be

The expense claim for the Kuwaiti trip!!

So we've made a loss of 4 x Dom Perignon, 20 x J&Ts, 6 x Cloudy Bay, 100 x Oysters and 12 x Shellfish Platters

Would have been a nice idea to let kids go in for free yesterday in an attempt to hook them in early

Teen with the reduced admission prices yesterday I would imagine we probably took more money both in gate fees and concourse sales than 95% of the games last season.

Only 1 friendly since we moved to the new ground had a larger attendance than yesterday and that was the 1st game v Derby that was over 7500. So although some people may think yesterday's attendance was poor, it was actually our 2nd highest friendly attendance.

When your home attendance is only a few hundred more than the away attendance that is a poor turnout. It is also 100% the club's own fault, as there was a huge potential market with kids on school holidays and probably many parents off too. £10 for adults and £2 for kids would, IMO have dramatically increased the attendance and sales of food, drink etc. A large number witnessing an excellent performance could also have encouraged more to come to League games, or even to buy a season ticket. I agree that we (the Chesterfield area public) will get the team quality we're prepared to pay for, but it doesn't help if the club misses revenue opportunities through poor marketing.

What do people expect? It is a friendly at the start of the summer holidays. Most families will be on holiday as the schools have just broken up. I have not got kids anymore, but I had plenty of other things to do, actually decided to go to Whitby for the weekend given the weather. There are plenty of other Saturdays taken up by football, so outside the season it is time to do other things.
Just looked at my schedule and because of football and other things do not have a free Saturday until December once the season starts.

If most families are on holiday how is letting kids in for free going to make them more money than yesterday did?
