Saw him at Alfreton, and again at Lincoln. At Alfreton, he was superb. He looked more mature. At Lincoln, he looked a little more composed, and credit to him and the management team for working on him during the summer. He has improved since last season. I'm hoping he will mature a bit more as a player and prove the doubters wrong, whether he goes out on loan or not. The old industrial question: make or buy? We or certainly developing him and i'm hoping for a bit more consistency, we could have a little(big) gem on our hands!

I'm hoping for a player like him to develop into a hero, and let his temperament settle a little. I won't be surprised to see him start at Orient. For me, Doyle is a bit part player atm. He is always a nearly player.

While I agree he looked sharper... I think if Alfreton defend as badly as they did against us then they'll have a torrid time next season.

Mmm, maybe, but I think we gave them a torrid time. It was our best performance against them in the last 10 years or so.

The thought of Armand starting up front against orient is one that fills me with dread.

Its on the way back from my hols in cornwall. I promised my better half, that if we didn't sign anyone, I wouldn't trouble north east London.
Lets see how he does against leeds etc...

If we haven't got anyone other than Doyle and Armand, I'd go for Doyle to run his backside off for 75 mins then bring Armand on as an impact player. However like everyone else and their thinking, we have to have signed someone by then.

Impossible to see if he has improved as we have only played vastly inferior quality.

Impossible to see ....

.... Especially if you are not at the match.
How long will it be before you are covering your back with a 'he's made a vast improvement' post.?

I'm not saying you are wrong just stating facts...until he plays against opposition of equal ability to last year we can not make a judgement call it's simply all about the ability to perform at levels, you could get a track athlete who can clock for example 3 minutes dead in a race against inferior athletes he then races up in class and finishes tailed off in a time slower than 3 minutes , huge factors in sport that dictate how athletes can handle raising their games consistently and until now there is nothing to suggest he has .

Doyle's goals won us the league at the back end of the season. Did you miss that?
