Armand has looked better pre - season, and the Leeds game confirmed, for me, that he IS an option for us up front. We totally outplayed Leeds for the whole game up to the point PC removed Morsy, Ryan and Roberts, who had dominated midfield. We didn't really threaten up front, however, until Armand came on and set up both goals with excellent CF play. We didn't just go long ball either, but he gave us that option to switch from the short passing game, and I thought we looked very strong with Armand as the spearhead and Doyle just off him. Our total domination was shown by the fact that the two penalties were their only shots in the entire game, and once we equalised we gave them a football lesson. The only negative, for me, is that we could well lose Morsy if he produces that type of sensational performance in League matches; he completely bossed midfield, and was brilliant both defensively and offensively. I know he's just signed a new contract, but if somebody throws a £1m offer at us we'll have to grab it.

Negative? We pick up a decent fee, the lad moves onwards and upwards with our best wishes and we have sufficient funds to recruit a suitable replacement and strengthen in other areas. As for £1m, his contract will include release clauses well short of that I'm afraid.
We're on our way

Always love to read posts from people with inside info. Are you his agent or is it just a wild guess?

I'm afraid you are as clueless as the rest of us ..although I'd be surprised if we have not written in a bag of balls clause for all our players.
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

Armand is a car crash of a footballer, Parkin is 10x the player and that says it all.

But Parkin is on the scrap heap and armand is still in the development stage Posted Image
God I hate this league.

Because a lot of people thought the only way to defend Marc Richards was to criticise Doyle and it's a difficult mind set to get out of? To be fair it WAS the only way to defend Richards.
Doyle was considered the pits and Richards was the man until the JPT final when the press saw Doyles performance and raved about it. Cue the crashing of opinions going into reverse on here.
To be fair, Doyle had an unfortunate start to the season - Richards was often preferred and Doyle's best performance, against Morecambe, was totally overshadowed by the result when we let in four goals.
Doyle has all the attributes of a good striker apart from height. We need somebody to win and hold the ball and bring the ball-players into the game. Parkin was obviously in this category.

Doyles movement and running with and off the ball are first rate- his finishing leaves a lot to be desired, and he isn't strong enough to hold the ball up. That's obvious to everyone. Nothing at all to do with Marc Richards, but you do like a vendetta against some players/

A new hope.
