Did he start every week?

No. He played 26 times according to FL website and was joint top scorer with 11 goals. Doesn't suggest bit part really does it?

Armand is a car crash of a footballer, Parkin is 10x the player and that says it all.

Because a lot of people thought the only way to defend Marc Richards was to criticise Doyle and it's a difficult mind set to get out of? To be fair it WAS the only way to defend Richards.
Doyle was considered the pits and Richards was the man until the JPT final when the press saw Doyles performance and raved about it. Cue the crashing of opinions going into reverse on here.
To be fair, Doyle had an unfortunate start to the season - Richards was often preferred and Doyle's best performance, against Morecambe, was totally overshadowed by the result when we let in four goals.
Doyle has all the attributes of a good striker apart from height. We need somebody to win and hold the ball and bring the ball-players into the game. Parkin was obviously in this category.

Surely you mean strength, Doyle must be about six foot surely ?

Why do you need height to be a good striker?

Impossible to see if he has improved as we have only played vastly inferior quality.

Come off it Phil. You've previously defined him as a Sunday pub league player. He gets a hat trick against one of last season's better Conference teams and you talk about inferior quality. Surely, by your definition that was a serious step up in class!

I wish you had shown such blind faith in me as a kid...lol...seriously though until he performs consistently against the opposition in real games it means nothing surely any sane person knows that ...If he does then I doff my cap to him.

You don't but in "H"s opinion you need to be a minimum of 6'2" to be allowed on a football pitch.

Doyle blows hot and cold, when he's on it he could be one of the best in the league. Sadly the opposite could also be true. He needs to be more consistent.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

It would have been blind faith. You were crap!!!! Seriously, you were not that bad from age 2 to 12, then other people started coaching you. All down hill from there! LOL.

While I agree he looked sharper... I think if Alfreton defend as badly as they did against us then they'll have a torrid time next season.

T he Leeds Manager/Acting Manager or whatever his title - Hockaday - says that they were the better team until Chesterfield abandoned their passing game ( is he delusional or what ?) but when we went long ball with the big man up front they couldn't handle him. The only bit of his interview that was believable - he didn't, mention Nan -dwee -ay by name because I guess he hadn't a clue how to pronounce Gnanduillet.

I fear for Leeds this season if their manager thought they were the better side

If that is the best they have they are certain to go down. There were very few, if any, teams that we played last season as poor as them.
