A question in my mind is are the new players all coming from a situation where they had another job alongside their part time football status? If so you would imagine that the level of pay required to get them into full time football may be relatively high to compensate for their otherwise lost earnings in the day job? I seem to remember a similar debate when we brought in Denton.

Yes they were both on short term contracts, I missed them, but sorted now and obviously Kiwomya has now left.

In his pre-match Notts County interview today I believe JR referred to 14 players of the group being with us going into next season.

By my counting there are 15 unless somebody has his figures wrong.

Anyway, out of the 14 or 15, at least 2 players, Asante & Hollis, will miss around the first half of next season. I expect a small number of the existing squad to be offered deals for next season, Mandeville, Clarke, Kerr, Montgomery etc, but room to be made for 5 or 6 newcomers too.
