What a shame that didn’t go in. It was perhaps the funniest thing I have ever seen in football. I loved the astonished reaction of Ashmore goal kick hit the defender and nearly went in.

What was hurt more, his thigh or his pride. I thought I was wearing my slow-motion specs

It would have been sensational. My first time seeing him and to be fair to him despite the abuse he got (which presumably he expected) he took it in a pretty good natured way. I'd have certainly shook his hand and wished him well afterwards.

He had to suck it up because they were losing. Odious creep.

If you had seen the Ebbsfleet incident and the twitter aftermath you may well have decided against the handshake. Having said that he did handle himself well probably on instruction and helped by the booking and the fact he was losing most of the game. I'd call it quits and leave it at that.

He is insignificant to nothing to us and best kept that way.

Or did he mishear and is perhaps a little dim?

Or did he mishear and is perhaps a little dim?

Firstly, he was the tinderbox that ultimately lead us to having the front three rows blocked off. Could be significant if we get a big crowd

He may have heard something, who knows but his tweet after the game was really offensive where he showed a clip of a Vlog of the game with people shouting racial abuse nearby and he exclaimed ‘Told You So’ Turned out it was an Ebbsfleet Vlog and it was Ebbsfleet fans hurling the abuse. Instead of apologising he deleted the tweet. In my mind, that and subsequent appearances on talk radio was a deliberate attempt to damage the reputation of the club and its supporters.

Are rows blocked off indefinitely? There will be games where income could be lost on away end..Grimsby Stockport Wrexham Notts.
Not sure home areas would be so full we'd need the extra rows until the end of the season games maybe?

I doubt we have had a game since where we've needed them, certainly not the home end. It will test the clubs resolve when it happens.

Fair enough. I booed and called him naughty names yesterday so I'm OK with that summary. I'd have probably added some hand gestures, but my language in front of my son at football is bad enough.

The Borehamwood players were giving Tishmanga some stick saying he should have stopped playing with the goalie being injured.

Ashmore was aware that the fa had people monitoring the game, thus his sickly attempt has he approached the kop at the start of the second half. His clapping of the kop at the end smells 'look at me I'm a good guy' all for the benefit of the fa onlookers. We may have seen the old traits of ducking and diving if they weren't behind all the game but they had to go for goals which negated any time wasting etc.

Ironic that he did get actually injured and we couldn't take more advantage of his lack of mobility.

Someone commented on racial chanting from the kop - he did get plenty of stick about being fat, cheating and lying bar stool but no mention of black was ever chanted.
God I hate this league.

Totally correct and Talksport wouldn't let me on air just to have a chat. lol. The interview was sickly in it's biase towards us with the slant of racial comments being directed at him.
Funny how this guy got into several cases of racial comments in his football career but you can see why fans got so frustrated at his antics.
God I hate this league.

Far more sensible to keep them cordoned off, remember this was our second incident with fans on the pitch at the kop end and far easier to control with those seats out of commission. May be a loss of income but has to be off set against additional stewarding.

Do you know what? I thought exactly the same. He handled Saturday really well: definitely gone up in my estimation :)

Ashmore stopped it about a foot from the line. The funniest part of it was that he didn't seem too worried at first, and was strolling back quite casually. Then he suddenly realised it was actually going in and flew after it frantically. I thought we should have taken advantage and scored from that situation.
