The BBC reported this morning that 6,500 migrant workers have died preparing the infrastructure in Qatar for the 2022 World Cup.

I find it staggering that it was ever allowed to be held here. (I know, ££££s)
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

That's why I won't be watching a moment of this 'World Cup', or its qualifiers.
These go to eleven.

It's absolutely sickening. Wish I could bring myself to not watch the tournament but I know I'll cave

I'm almost suprised that some of the more 'woke' countries (an Iceland, Norway etc) haven't announced a boycott of this.

Money talks, and that is the sole reason we are going there for a WC. Thankfully the next couple of tournaments in Germany and Mexico/USA are more logically distributed.

It's an absolute disgrace but FIFA don't care.

Marcus Rashford is definitely the person we should be questioning in all this. It’s not like he fed the nation’s kids or owt.

He’s at a loose end now. It’s about time he sorted out the migrant labour situation in Qatar and then he can move on to the rest of the Middle East and then world. While he’s at it can he sort out my plumbing.

Don't forget one small time black American crook who was killed horribly on camera is more important than 3500 black Arabic and African slaves killed building the world cup venue's in Qatar

He could publicly make a statement that he is not going to the world Cup because of these deaths

I just find hypocrisy disgusting

Most likely he won't be going due to not being picked.

Where's Black Lives Matter when you need them 🤔

TBF, oldgoat has got a point. If footballers are so passionately supporting the lives of black people, this is THE perfect time to make a stand and boycott the WC, is it not?

I mean, 6500 deaths...6500. Let that sink in. One career, violent criminal and the world erupted (not that it was justified; then again, neither was a statue in honour of him); 6500 deaths from the 'BAME' community and......nowt, not even a tweet from the 'usual suspects'.

If CPS and EOC watch it; well, to quote a well known forlok tugger, "they'll have blood on their hands".

The Press (eg The Guardian, MSN) were reporting 6500 deaths back in February. Have none died since? I doubt it.
