Can't wait to see him lining up for Perth on BT sport.

I just can't wait to have it confirmed he's off the wage bill.

Stole a very large wage for the biggest part of the season.

TBH you can't blame him for the wage he was on..the person who rubber stamped the deal has to take the blame.

I realise that, however I'd have to question his commitment and effort on a number of occasions.

To be fair, lots of our players haven't showed enough commitment or effort this season.

His commitment , he nearly chopped a Coventry player in half , bordered on being sent off most matches ,

No reason to doubt it, Herd was clearly frozen out of the first team picture for a while, I can't remember the exact words but when questioned Mark Smith did make a comment to the interviewer he'd be better directing the question to Turner before moving quickly on.

Saunders also made no secret of the fact he was trying to tie him down to a long term deal

Well I would make it abundantly clear it's just the kinda daft gossip that sometimes circulates amongst football fans.

Double bluff? Perhaps he was on contract for next season, we want him away, not sure it will happen. Then this news comes through, and our club think- 'hang on, we could even get a fee here...'

Well if he only signed till the end of the season and they haven't discussed anything with him what do they expect?

He cant be contracted to us next season....the pre contract would only mean something if he was only contracted to us for the rest of this season so the situation you describe couldnt happen.

I doubt Doyle told Hibs he had signed a pre contract with us.

I'm not completely up on the rules so i'm not sure if there is any obligation from the new club and\or player to advise they are in talks etc.

He must have, it was being reported in March 2013 he had signed a pre contract with us. From then on we were all on Doyle watch.

He did

I watched Hibs at the end of 12/13 season, the jocko season went on after ours had finished,it had been announced that he was joining us in the close season
In the clubhouse pre match whilst wearing a coat with town badge I was repeatedly asked how a club like us could take a player from such a giant of a club. They genuinely thought we were akin to Albion Rovers, Elgin etc
Unfortunately the match didn't finish due to a fatality in the crowd
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.
