That's a relief and to think Saunders wanted to tie him down to a longer deal here

One down & 4 or 5 to go....i wonder if SEB will be one?? Not been near starting since Oldham...definitely not in DW's plans...just hope we can off load him & free up a lot of money

Didn't really work out for him here. Still. No bad blood. Good luck to him.

The whole thing was disappointing. A pre injury Chris Herd was a decent player. Can recall him playing at Saltergate for Lincoln as a youngster, and looking the complete midfielder.
Although it didn't quite work out, will wish him well...and remember that cruncher of a tackle that echoed around the Proact, against Coventry!

I remember him playing for Lincoln at saltergate while he was on a season loan there from Villa and he was the stand out player. I remember him having long hair and so got the obvious "gypo" taunts. Many decent players are never the same after such bad injuries, and unfortunately, although I was excited to hear he had signed for us, it would appear that he fits into that category. I didn't expect town to offer him anything at the end of the season so cant begrudge him sorting out his immediate future. Good luck chris. All the best.

Must admit he's been one of a number of disappointments for me this season...when he signed thought we maybe had a decent league 1 player but his injuries must have been way worse than ever he could have imagined in the way it's hampered his ability to get anywhere near to a decent level to even contribute ....became a bit of an enforcer for us when he did play but you have to have a bit more about you than that even at our level...can remember him having one decent game at Fleetwood but that's it. Obviously been told to find another club and by the sounds of it would probably have gone anyway...Good luck Chris to you and your family out in Perth... Hope it works out for you.
