I came across this on another forum:

http://www.onefootba...s-season.10761/

There are a number of decent League Two players out of contract this summer, as there must be every year. Not sure if we have a scouting network any more to try and pick any up.

Interesting mentions on the thread for a few ex-Spireites, including Gnanduillet, Bowery and Randall. Also mentions a number of loanees from higher up who have done well and could perhaps do a job, whichever league we are in next season.

Signed a 2 1/2 year contract with Orient didn't he? So shouldn't be on there!

Having a brief read of the thread its more a case of folk evaluating all the squads they have as well as listing folk that are out of contract. The two Armand related comments i read both werent that impressed but one would keep on the back of him scoring 10 in league 2 this season, the other wanted to ship him out as he's useless!

He is 95% useless and 5% quality.

Thats what must make him infuriating as a player to work with...every so often he would do something that suggested he could be a player....then the rest of the time you could see why he was basically playing Matlock standard in France.

Hopefully its more a released list than a retained one.

Surely it's this year that Madrid comes knocking for Randall and Morgan? :D

From reading The Bridge Inn Q&A, Morgan said we needed some physical players and have ideas and targets.
I don't know these players contract situations but:
Hanson (Bradford striker),
Novak ( available from Birmingham)
Harrison (Charlton winger was on loan Colchester) or
Marshall (Port Vale winger),
Moncur (Colchester midfielder),

A quality central defence on loan- think in the lines of George Margreitter.

These would make me happy!

Can't afford Novak's wages and Moncur will probably go higher, from what I've read.
I like Hanson but not sure why he'd leave Bradford??
I know nothing about Harrison but liked Marshall when I've seen him play at town.

How about a poaching a couple of our neighbours best players just to pee them off some more...

Ryan Tafazolli & Mal Benning both out of contract :glare:

Tafazolli isn't a bad shout. He would jump at the chance if he was offered it

There's a few decent shouts in there tbf. Just goes to show how wrong we've got our business model over the last few years.

Chris Atkinson would be much better than what we have at the moment

Interesting comment from the Yeovil fan about Smith becoming a far better player since moving to centre back from left back.

Not strong enough for the Championship and Sheff u can probably get a player with experience at a higher level. He didn't mention any interest from either of them btw when I was talking to him last week
