I thought we played well 2nd half and made a fist of it.We couldn't compare with their strong side but I thought we let ourselves down defensiely in the 1st half with some sloppy goals.Never mind this was a good learning curve for our youngsters in front of a very decent crowd.

Ryan Kent is good, has been at Coventry on loan this season.....

His dad was sat with us 1st half having come over from the USA especially to see his son.He says he's on a 3yr contract and he's only 17yrs, he looked decent as did about half a dozen of their lot.

Maybe it wasn't his Dad as he's 19, he's played against us twice for Coventry this season, had a blinder at the proact just after Christmas, Liverpool then recalled him and put him in the first team (at Exeter)

Our keeper, James Montgomery has been on trial with us for over a week now, I mentioned him on another thread.

Ex Sunderland youngster, joined up with the Nike academy on release, and now playing for Telford while training to be a PE teacher (400+ mile round trip for home games!!)

Anyone who's been care to comment on his performance?

Wouldn't be surprised if a few players were/are now on the radar for us.

We only signed Liam Cooper and Townsend after we played Hull in a friendly, same with Daniel Johnson and Villa.

We had watched Cooper many times before the friendly and had an agreement in principle in place prior to the game.

Fair play. I'm not surprised. Was the friendly so everyone at CFC could see him, part of the deal or something or just chance? I guess I'm trying to say, could we be seeing any of these Liverpool lads coming on loan?

He pulled off a few cracking saves, it could have been 8 or 9 nil. He could have done better for a couple of their goals as well though
