Surprising, as many of us thought he'd be our manager for next season, but results were dire on occasion and (much like Town) we went on an extended losing streak. The next guy has to inject some extra quality into that squad, or we will possibly be battling relegation (or the potential spectre of same) at a much earlier stage.

A couple of my pals play for the Gladiators so I've watched them fairly frequently over the years. The games I've been too recently have been horrific.. Reckon a new manager, someone young with some fresh ideas is definitely what's needed.

Peter Duffield must surely be in the running. He recently left Handsworth Parramore (based in Worksop but with ambitions to be Sheffield's third club) after a decent spell and certainly took Belper Town forward to in his time there. With Duffs tends to come Jon Froggatt, who is old as the hills but never stops scoring, though admittedly currently below Matlock's level.
These go to eleven.

Overtaking Rotherham? That's some ambition.
