Is it me or should the floodlights have been switched on today...it was getting a bit dusk to watch, so god knows what it was like for the players...or is it me just being a bit picky!?

Think of the savings on electricity.
All going towards paying SEB.

No, we were saying the same in the east stand. It also appeared Ched asked for them to be switched on.

I didn't think it was a problem.

On the picky theme though what's happened to replays of our goals on tbe big screen this season, also not showing the game on the TV's in the concourses today, East Stand at least.

The big screen also used to show which 22 players were on the pitch.
They remains no pretence now it's there to enhance our experience.
It's just one big advertising screen.

I think the plan was to get to a point where the Ref stopped and asked for them on, we say, they don't work, match abandoned, we don't lose

On a serious note, I thought they should have come on around the 70th Minute tbh.

We was saying the same thing in the east stand about the gloom. I was expecting the Kop to switch on their phone lights on.

What made it worse imo was when certain adverts came on the big screen and the bright light was
highlighted more in the gloom

Also with a Premier league ref in charge you would have thought he would have called for the lights to
be switched on because in the big league they are on at a moments notice

I suppose they do not have to worry about the leccy bill as much though :windup

Think Gaz and Leccy where to blame and the roll out for the smart meters hasn't reached Chesterfield yet

Before reading this thread I never thought the light was bad and looking back I still don't see any reason for the floodlights to have been on. Seems like nit picking to me and we'd still have lost even if they'd been turned on.

I think you're in a very small minority there. All those around me in the Kop were commenting on it straight after half time. No it wouldn't have made a scrap of difference to the outcome - we were well beaten by a physically strong and organised side who could pass the ball accurately to each other instead of to the opposition as we did continually. However, that is beside the point which is that the floodlights in previous home games had been switched on in much brighter conditions. Forgive the pun, but it was blindingly obvious.

It's not nit picking, he's just asking people's view on a subject. We would have still lost, everyone knows that and I doubt he's suggesting otherwise.

I thought it was dark and gloomy and would have helped to switch them on. Might start calling Turnipe Norbert Colon😂😂😂
