He did far more tha Ariyibi managed over the entire 90 mins. He just wasn't in the game until he starting getting very petulant with the ref near the end. The defender did a job on him.

That's an interesting take on it, if you were a manager or owner of a club would you go on the players team message board and see what the fans think, I think I would. Maybe the bile spouted by some about certain things including players can have a negative effect on perceived value by other clubs ?

Is this meant seriously?

They are different kinds of wingers. Gboly more direct, taking defenders on and trying to get behind defence . Mitchell more inclined to carry ball inside and pass it (from what I have seen of him)

Here's my "Hail Mary" for CFC if Gboly leaves on deadline day:

CT remembers (or more likely prompted by AC after reading this board) that we could sell Gboly but insist on an immediate loan-back until the end of the season, and still pay his current wage; thus keeping his first team development going and not depleting our squad by one.

Then the harp music faded and I woke to find it was all a dream...

Forest have a bit of spare cash now they've sold their right winger.

Don't know - but, weren't they under a transfer embargo?

Only a premier league club would be likely to agree to that sort of deal, in the championship they want instant results to get to the promised land. I can't see see any further bids after his performance on Saturday so hope we stick with him as we'll get more in January

Barnsley. Now facing a fight for Ariyibi ... second Championship club in. A bit ironic too.

Alan Nixon on Twitter. I'd guess it would be Leeds

Morning.
I don't think you can include Saunders when assessing what a manager would do as he clearly wasn't a proper one !!

I agree with you that there seems to be an acceptance to a degree of PR and communications failings in the summer. The sacking after raffle gate, the removal of CT from public life and the introduction of the more polished AC being cases in point.

However, if an offer iro of 500k to 750k is received before Wednesday then GA will be off. Before yesterday I would have being against that preferring him to remain until January at least. In my opinion he's not ready for championship football. He is still mightily inconsistent and whilst yesterday was poor from 1 to 11 I don't think his attitude was right either.

But, if he does go AND DA trousers the cash then we are in for a long, long winter of attrition and disappointment. If we sacrifice GA's inconsistent brilliance the money MUST be used to strengthen the squad and provide more balance.

We need a left back. Jones' future must be in doubt. DD isn't a full back ( btw the muppets dishing out the verbals to him yesterday must have incredibly small genitalia and should take a look at themselves ).

We need a replacement for Evatt. He is now losing physical battles as well as being as mobile as a diplodocus.

We're stuck with him until TL is back but Fulton worries me big time too.

Oh and a replacement for GA - Mitchell was a rare positive yesterday however.

What are the chances? I'm not holding my breath.

Agree with this entire post.

Brentford would be in for a slice of the Swansea fee.

Agree with this entire post.

Just back from hols and viewing the highlights, I'm not sure why Fulton is getting so much stick. He made a complete hash of coming for a corner at Shrewsbury but other than that I can't see that there was boggger all he could do about any of the goals in the two matches.

I think yesterday was always going to be one of our most severe tests and we were found wanting but even from the highlights I could tell we played some good stuff. Our two most inexperienced players Nolan and Donohue both tried the same ball into Evans, both failed, and both failures resulted in goals. They will learn from their mistakes.

I think already one of our biggest weaknesses is already evident. Neither Gardner or Gboly provide sufficient goal threat to support Evans and Jayo.

You can add the rest of the midfield to that.

He should have saved Millwall's first goal. It went through his hand like he had brittle bone disease. As for the third, he was in no man's land and made it easy for Morison.
