I welcome the chance to judge them 12 months on.

We have a better team, A better manager, A better business plan, better engagement with the supporters, A better media image, Better owners, a better ( whatever AC was trying to be )

So ok I judge the decision to get rid of the old regime a resounding success.

I for one wouldn't urine on the old regime if they were on fire, unless I could urine petrol.

Good riddance to bad rubbish

Bump.

And what do we find?

We haven't had any more CCJ's. We haven't had any more FA charges. We haven't had any more strangely funded pre-season jollies. We haven't had any more stories suggesting high profile staff enjoying extended breaks on the Club's account. We haven't had any more 'Rafflegates'. We haven't had any more fake sheikhs. We haven't had any more shady characters given licence on Sheff' road. We haven't had any more questionable appointments with even more questionable CV's. We haven't had any more CEO's with glaringly obvious conflicts of interest between roles at CFC and a supposedly separate enterprise. We haven't had any more prize assets touted by the CEO and a sympathetic journo to the point of publicly discussing how much they could go for. We haven't had any more sides dismantled for cash. We haven't had any more Town-through-and-through employees axed amidst accusations, scapegoating and gagging clauses. We haven't had any more crony contracts. We haven't had any more humiliating headlines or reporters banned. We haven't had any more scandal and sleaze defended by lies. A long, long, litany of lies.

Infact we haven't had any more of what this entire thread spent years narrating.

On the other hand we've had a manager leave the right way. We've had another manager leave for the right reasons. We've had a replacement few in our or higher divisions could dream of attracting. We've had thousands of stayaways return and more than most in those same divisions watching hugely entertaining football. We've had stability and success. We've had progressive plans submitted and approved.

We've had the best of what the new stadium delivered without the worst.

Okay, I'm not saying it's all fluffy bunnies and kittens, now. There're still one or two I'd like to see the back of. Carson's legacy, we might say. Some of the furlough stuff left a sour taste legal or not. There there was that skulduggery in the lounges - WTF?! Or we can also talk about ticket surcharges. Concourse costs. IT continuing to cock-up. The kinda customer complaints that never seem properly addressed.

However surely no worse to what's witnessed at every football club throughout the leagues.

It's nearly two years since the Clouseau tribute turn sneered summat about judging him in twelve months. Well the judgement has to be 'guilty'. So very, very guilty...
