After a quick review of the coming season's home league fixtures and a spot of guess work on likely attendances, I'm taking a punt on average gates of circa 7,500. I'm assuming a mediocre but not disastrous season results wise.

My starter for 10 folks

PS. Is that enough for a new centre forward!

Would you have predicted crowds would be down on our previous promotion season?

We didn't get that average last time in league one, if we start the season well then it's a possibility but as it looks at the moment I can't see new fans coming to the proact just yet unfortunately

We didn't have as many away ends sells out either. Lots of away support this year to bump up the figure

With the recession as it was. I would imagine anyone could have predicted the gates would be down. Not rocket science

Think we'll just about average 7,000 with all the derbies and Coventry, notts county Bradford and vale. Plenty of small fan based teams (Crawley, fleetwood) and Tuesday evening games that would pull a lot more on a Saturday (Preston, MK dons) along with Colchester + gills will pull the average attendance down.

7k is realistic THIS SEASON
Here we go again!

I suppose the club can't win on this one. Criticised for over estimated last years crowds which gave us an inflated budget which helped us win the league. Criticised this year for keeping budget the same and tightening the belt

True both are mistakes. First one won the league second one has a good chance of sending us back to the same league as the first mistake got us out of. Roundabouts

I suppose it depends on how much crowds increase again if we stay in the league, we go further and further in to debt when the crowds seem to have plateaued.

we need man utd away in third round of cup lol

Thought it was normal to spend more on the playing budget in a higher division ie to compete against better teams

Need to get knocked out of JPT in first round as well as it seems you don't make any money from getting to Wembley

Its ludicrous if what the club says about that is true. The big thing for the players should have been the chance to play at Wembley not get a fat bonus. Getting to Wembley was more important for them than the fans imo - we were all there only a few years ago! But surely we all thought the club was going to benefit financially??

I think you are missing the whole point about sports stars earnings. On your basis, the Open Champion would be happy with the Claret Jug, the Wimbledon Champion with a silver cup and a gala ball, and Cristiano Ronaldo happy with merely appearing at the Bernabeu.

The fact that want they want a major share of what the individual sport can earn is how we all got here. And lets face it, if we were in their position wouldn't we all do the same?

No problem with them getting a bonus payment but when the club make nowt of it, its ridiculous.

Not true.

If CFC had said from day 1 we have over spent and need to be careful then no problem . To say we are in the market for 2 strikers and only quality players and in negotiations with Higdon..... To we won't be signing anyone and looking for younger players on loan? Come on fella.......something has gone very wrong in a short space of time
A new hope.
