Depends on what you expect.
I Exocet to stay up this season and if that's 5th bottom so be it. I actually think we will be better than that. For one thing, not many teams will be parking the bus - we may even be seen early on as the whipping boys so open attacking games will suit us. Ok some quality sides may spank us but average L2 sides may see yes as 3 PTA and go for it which will actually help us.
If we get 13 wins and 13 draws that will be enough. Can anyone say that Roberts Gardner JOS Doyle etc can't get 10 wins and 20 draws or better?
Granted it's not ideal and far from the situation we all wanted but come on-it's about survival and stabilisation this season.

I am with you in thinking the team we have is quite capable of holding its own. However I was extremely concerned by Cook's demeanour and attitude in the interviews after the Lincoln match- he had the look of man who was barely keeping his (bitter?)disappointment in tack. Plus off course, he had been telling all and sundry at a local hostelry, for the last few weeks, of his unhappiness with the money available. If this continues to affect him in the same vein in the in the weeks ahead, it clearly is bound to have an effect on the team's morale. Or, he will resign in a fit of pique, and leave us with a load of backroom staff to pay off so the next man can bring his men in.
Hopefully he is more professional than that, and we once again see the old Cook, telling us what a great team we have, and how they will give their all for the next match.

Yeah, Cook did look very unhappy.
Hopefully, once the season starts, he will get into the football and leave the politics behind.
If, as another poster has said, he can instill a siege mentality into the team and the club it will help. It also needs the fans to be of the same mind - a siege mentality and not to be on the team/managers back this season.

I think we'll rocket up the league, either way we're in for a pretty explosive year...

Which Staglet and which claim?
I seem to remember many of them celebrating Allen's comments regarding our debt and the Council, their general tone being that Comedy Radford's millions would see them eclipse our increasingly stricken club as a result.
But what really happened?
We won the league whilst their Chairman ceased all further subsidies (despite continuing his six figure donations to Donny), slashed our little neighbour's budget and left MTFC to stand on it's own two and a half thousand feet.
And let's remember that for all the recent revelations it's not as if Allen's pulled the plug in that manner.
As for the long list of claims, assertions and predictions emanating from trolls - including one obsessive basket case in particular, I'm pretty sure they were invariably proven wrong.
