Whatever he is, he is a fellow human being and a pro footballer. If he is lucky enough to don the blue shirt then he'll get my support just the same as the rest of the squad.
Come on you Blues!

He looked like he had lead boots on in the last game of the season ...

...No he didn't. He tried really hard and got bugga all out of Evo so he got replaced. Is there is a single person on here who actually thinks PC is stupid enough to sign Parkin if he's not fit?.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Oh I see. And do you suppose Parkin knows we are just using him as a stick to force Mr Allen to open his wallet.

Probably, it does him no harm to be linked with us

not saying that Parkin is the answer but he certainly caused us problems last season once or twice! Evo had him in his pocket then he scored

The signing of Parkin for this season would equate to signing the two legends that were Gerry Creasey and Gary Lund....
Our fellow league 1 sides will be laughing at us.

I thought at the time we could iron out Creaseys mistakes

Shambles. I'm a pretty level headed guy but this is appalling. History repeating itself all over again.

The more I think about this, the more I think Turner may have been in the Middle East trying to sell the Club..Just my opinion no evidence just a feeling..Parkin situation is making me think though.

A work mate of mine was talking to Parkin after the last game of last season in one of the lounges, him and Creswell came in together, both said they would give their right arm to play for us with the manager and setup we have.
I honesty do not see the problem if we do sign him, every time I have seen him he has looked a class act if a bit imobile, what is typical of this board is the total over the top reaction and slating of a player before he has even signed.
If Parkin is on trial he will have to work on his fitness possibly more than he ever has in his career, I for one will certainly back him to do that.
I would suggest if we had played Parkin last season instead of Richards, remembering the chances Richards missed Parkn would have buried half of them, he is a player who gets a chance and he usually takes it.
When we have the current option of having Armand as a plan B with Doyle as the main striker it's a no brainer. For me anyway Parkin over Armand all day every day.

Looking for a rich benefactor, now that would be a scenario I have not considered at all, you have started the old brain working on overtime.

When he scores a hat trick against Leeds and follows it up with a brace against Villa you lot will soon change your tune :-)

My theory is that Chris Turner needs someone to accompany him to Weight Watchers.
