2 midget full backs guarding their respective goal post. Spells disaster imo

Not ideal but I’d rather have two fullbacks period until Yarney is fit enough to challange
Shezza’s bodged and botched attempts at a defence has spelt disaster all season, 43 goals worth.
Bromley are strong in the air from what I remember but it probably doesn’t matter because CBs are so weak anyway

Does 2 midget full backs count as 1 player as both of them together are not as tall as Denton

Playing Yarney in midfield could be interesting as his passing is more positive than the rest of the team. Also extra height and defensive qualities would help against Bromley. A Sam Hird roll maybe?

For a player that has not yet found his best position you could be right except I don't think he isn't fully fit yet.
Once he is, I believe he could be the man to put in front of a back four.

We've got quite a few that have played higher but struggled at this level.. the challenge was to find decent players who would sweat blood to play in the FL. We just haven't done it.

Not that it'd matter because we'll lose regardless of what team we start with.

I’d like to see us try McGlashan, Mandeville and Gevaro as an attacking three as well. Also agree that that should be our best back four. Yarney isn’t fit but would be interested in how he does in midfield. For me, it’s got to be Weston and another as the holding players. Trying to pick between Smith and Wedgebury is torture and that’s without even considering Robbie Weir. Maybe the young lad Shaw?
Coddington
Tootle Evans Gerrard Buchanan
Weston Shaw
McGlashan Mandeville Gevaro
Boden/Fondop
That team look capable of putting at least three passes together, a massive improvement.

Not a bad shout but Shaw is a more attacking player allegedly, and Mandy plays well in fits and starts, I would be tempted to put Wedgebury in the holding midfield and move Shaw forward in place of Mandy. With regard to Yarney I am impressed by his progress. He likes to charge forward and I think he would be excellent in midfield. The charging bull that we have sorely needed for so long. A non league version of Sam Morsy if you like.

not seen shaw play but that looks like as decent a line up as possible, Sheridan keeps banging on about playing on the front foot and taking the game to the opposition then picks very dreary line ups that can't retain the ball, have no pace, no creativity and limited attacking threat, your line up improves all these departments, 4231 though is a system he has never really seemed to look at for some reason, maybe its the 1 up front he doesn't like
