Our owner has just donated 1.3 million to Sheffield Hospitals Charity for a state of the art surgical robot. Pretty generous of him to hand his cash around.

To be fair to him it's not the first time he's made this type of donation.
Well done !

Yes but at least it serves as a reminder that there is another side to his character

He did it around a year ago. Coincidentally not long after the protest and the finding him and Carson had on radio Dee dah. Forgive me for being cynical but I just don’t buy it.

Expensive PR stunt

I think it is quite common fo rich people to salve their conscience by giving money away in their later life.

It is a kind of atonement for previous misdeeds while he built his fortune and probably has nothing to do with the situation at CFC

Harsh. Very harsh. Sometimes you have to just have to admit that people are capable of kindness.

He donated or A+S Leisure donated?

The amount it 'cost' him would differ greatly, depending on the answer.

Just goes to show that beneath that bluff, rude, arrogant & dismissive exterior is a bluff, rude, arrogant & dismissive kind heart.
