Ive said it once , I'll say it again 1 million to start or don't even open the door.

Double that or don't bother. If club's really want a goalscorer with that record, they will pay for it. If they don't,then
keep him.

When is the contract up ?

If it's 18 months then his value only reduces as the months pass, we had it with Jamie Ward. Doyle holds all the ace and I suppose the end of the January window and our league position at that time will have some bearing on what happens.

God I hate this league.

Last Christmas we signed Gnandulliet,
The very next day, we loaned him away,
This year, to save us from tears,
We'll sell him to Tranmere Rovers

On this behind the scenes thingy........

I'm siding with H on this, on the grounds that I can find no alternative to my theory that the whole thing was planned spend, apart of course from the concert fiasco. And that is based on the fact that we've got at least 3 business leaders on the Board. Now they could of course have said 'heyup lads, we are running a loss, but it's all planned'. But they didn't, the nincompoops.

There were rumours - albeit from sources proven pretty accurate before and after - that Cook was told he'd have no budget extension towards the end of last season (it was probably mentioned on here, but I can't be bothered to go through the archives).

That suggests the full extent of losses came as a shock to DA.

'Nincompoops' might be somewhat charitable given some of what has, and continues to unfurl at CFC.

That would make DA a nincompoop as well. You're really going for it aren't you.

By the way, a different source informs me Sheff Yoo, Rovrum and Millwall are currently bidding for Doyle.

Town fans expecting a seven figure fee will be very disappointed by the numbers being offered, though.

Can you reveal the numbers being alleged?

Well auctions usually start low. If there are three genuine bidders, the price can only go up.
