That reminds me.........didn't Ashley state at the recent fans forum, he was deleting his account?

Yes said he would do that the following day.

He's also told me he's having a break from social media including questions that arise on here after today's game

Personally I'd have loved to have seen Jay play today, because we don't know if we'll ever get the chance to see him play again. A cracking player sad he's gone.

I admire your fanship of this club I really do, your loyalty and unswerving dedication. O'Shea wazzed all over that when he opted for an easy ride over the border.

Essentially Dave he let you down, he may have been a cracking player for us, but he couldn't wait to go.

Totally agree, couldn't wait to bail out when the going got tough .

The other side of the coin is that the club were also happy to see him go.

Couldn't really blame him could you. Let's see, stay and play with no chance of promotion and watching the club
slip into relegation, or play for a club at the top of the division who will go up to championship. With the chance of a contract
on much bigger wages. Hmmm not much of a choice is there.

It's more to do with Dave's admiration of Jayo than anything else, but no he couldn't wait to go and do I blame him? not really, but I'd have admired him more if he had stayed.

Is it too much to ask him to show a bit of loyalty to the club that's paid his wages the last 4 years . Yeah I suppose it is !

Loyalty? Not so much of it in football these days. We've paid him but he's worked for us (I'll avoid debate as to whether he's earnt what he's been paid). He doesn't owe the club anything and vice versa. We're an employer to him and if a better offer comes along I don't blame him for taking it. Works the same the other way; if we could have sourced a better replacement for less money we'd have shown him the door.

Already forgotten about him. Lovely player on his day but a distant memory now.

A cracking player more like a one in seven games show pony.

Wasn't there something about him being in the top 5 midfielder goalscorers for the whole of the football league during the last 5 seasons? And got his fair share of assists too.

A great player who was unlucky that he had to stay about one and a half seasons too long with us.

Ridiculous statement to make, probably only made because in footballing terms he has bettered himself going to the Blunts. Granted he isn't a player to roll his socks up and put a foot in but in a good footballing side he is a cracking player.

good player, a bit inconsistent yeah but a scorer of important goals + beautiful goals. 'one in seven' and 'show pony' are very wide of the mark

The only player we have had during the last few seasons who could more than occasionally score from range.

His main attribute complementing his skill set is that he doesn't get injuries - a godsend for any manager who wants to build a good squad.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on
