It's feasible that recent events have turned me from a card-carrying happy clapper into a cynical ###### but assuming this is true...what, we're supposed to believe that he hasn't been held back from playing especially for the sale? During a relegation fight? Are we also supposed to believe that this would increase our playing fund? Like loaning them our top goalscorer did? And before anyone says, quite understandably that he's no good...be interesting to see why a side promoted as champions want him for the peanuts we'll no doubt really be charging. Whatever your view on him, this suggests to me that we're as serious about fielding a competitive side next season as we were about staying up.
