That's how fickle Football is.... not long ago since he won League Two Manager of the Month. Goes to prove you are only as good as your last result.
There aint no Soul left in these old shoes... since you've been gone

They’re going to struggle next year, I’m fairly certain.

Fans of his last three clubs were all glad to be shut of him. From what I read he's little better than Saunders.

Apparently they invested heavily and promotion was the only acceptable outcome. He failed, he goes, who cares.

They should have kept him on for a third season of failure on the trot.

Mansfield were interested in Darrell Clarke but were understandably waiting on the play off outcome before making a decision on Flitcroft's future. Walsall nipped in and Clarke took the main chance. Source: a Mansfield club sponsor.

Had to look him up on wiki. They can’t be accused of appointing a club legend can they? Playing clubs included Rushden, Kettering, Oxford, Crawley and the Stags, with just over 90 appearances for the latter.

Played for Stags often between 2012-15 it seems, and yet I have no recollection of him at all.

PS Why does he look like he's a Scouser? Guessing he isn't.

Appointing an ex player as manager,no matter how popular, has its pitfalls as we all know.

Is it equivalent of Mark Smith being made manager here?
Bet that's gone down well 😂
