that time of year when clubs start releasing players.
Grimsby go early announcing released players of danny Collins, wes Thomas, martyn Woolford, jj hooper. also making decisions on Harry Davis, Alex Whitmore, Reece Hall-Johnson and Sam Russell.
sure there will be loads more over the next few weeks, any there to get us interested?
hooper 14 goals for Bromley this season loan may be worth a thought

in some ways it is a strange one to announce that decisions are to be made about players, how does that make the player feel? from speaking to ian evatt last season (ironically at Grimsby) he rates whitmore. still think hooper would be a decent consideration 14 league goals from 22 games at this level this season

Hooper and turgott would (in theory) add 30-40 goals to the side considering they didn't play the full season. Proved they could do it last season - get em in shez!
Here we go again!

Gary Cahill leaving Chelsea I think. Isn’t he a local lad?

He'll end up somewhere like Burnley or Watford. Still only 33 and can quite easily still play in the Prem.

It may be that Sheridan might decide that the new addition to the management team - a talent spotter/reserve team manager - has to come in before new recruits.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Northampton Town have released eight players at the conclusion of their contracts, while a further three have been told they are up for sale.
David Buchanan, Dean Bowditch, Jack Bridge, Luke Coddington, Shay Facey, Sam Foley, James Goff and Joe Iaciofano are all out of contract this summer.
They will not be offered new terms by the League Two side.
Meanwhile, Ash Taylor, Billy Waters and Joe Bunney are transfer-listed with time remaining on existing deals.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

Get a grip , Whitmore is one of the reasons we are where we are. Hopeless defender and it's only took Grimsby 1 season to realise he's no good. We need to get out of this league and we won't if we re-sign dross like Whitmore.

In the case of both clubs it's all about money - Grimsby cutting their budget.
God I hate this league.

Peter Vincenti apparently a player we are looking at, certainly excellent in his Rochdale days, now with Macclesfield

David Buchanan is a decent left back, wouldn't mind him here. He's 33 though.

Used to be a right handful. Not sure what he is like now though.
