They averaged 4800 a few seasons ago, not sure why they averaging 2000 more this season, unless it's cos of the 2 quid special

Ah Ah !!! your right .... they got 15,000 at a £2 special a few weeks back. That's what's upped their average. Well Spotted !! I will mention that to my golfing buddy when he starts harping on about averages. Or was that a cup game - i don't remember. Cup games are not included in the averages.

I see our "Noisy Neighbours" are not much better averages than we are.

That 15000 last week would have helped the average for sure

Horrible same situation as us last season, our downfall was failing to beat the teams around us to stay up. Then losing to Yeovil who were just above the relegation zone, is a killer!
7 points adrift now aren’t they?
Miracle needed or this horrible depressing league awaits

Off at a tangent 'Bratfud' seem to be mirroring our last season in L1, too.

Their next 2 home games are Lincoln and Mansfield so they'll be up against it, with FGR away sandwiched between, again not easy.

Morecambe are a Northern Premier club. If they come down they will never return to the FL.

Matlock Town is a much bigger club IMO.

Have they tailed off again? They'd won a few in a row a while back.

I only take a cursory interest in the FL tables now again in truth. Though for the first time in months I've recorded the highlights show that I'd forgot was even on.

Not disputing the population at all...all Im saying is if Matlock Town were at Football League club they'd be getting just under 2000 every home match. Morecambe barely touch a 1000 home fans.

I reckon Belper Town would as well on the matter..

I doubt either would get 2k crowds on a regular basis looking at their population

Belper would get 2k per week if in the Football League. Enough chimney pots here for that.

I attended their Q&A this week and the Belper manager claimed they had the third-lowest budget in the league, despite having one of the best supports. I guess that means 1500 to 2000 quid per week. with a good portion of that going to ex-Spireite George Milner, and deservedly so.
These go to eleven.

It’s Depressing that the league above where we find ourselves has so many pathetic attendances. If we ever get out of this absolute dump there’s not even much to look forward to in league 2. How I hope we do a Luton or Lincoln.

Wow!! And we thought our ownership was bad
If they drop & still have him in charge, exactly the same thing will happen to them as it has with us this season.

I can't see them getting out of it. Although there are many similarities with our own tale of woe their decline has been startlingly abrupt. But like us I don't think they have the faintest idea how to get out of it.

Love to see them down, if purely for the two hat that used to post endless messages on here
