Isn't that just a legal requirement where the employer must endeavour to find alternative work within the company. So, it'll be a case of 'you can't be a groundsman but do you fancy cleaning the chairman's car instead?'

So do we assume they can't even afford the redundancy pay.
God I hate this league.

Hasn't DA got his son in law in a kind of 'Minister without Portfolio' role for that? Perhaps he knows how to let the grass grow.

My understanding is that you only have to legally consult if you are making at least 20 people redundant??

Only as good as what you're provided with. If you recall Ant and ground staff had to do their own fund raising to buy frost covers

One reason for this might be that the capital equipment is knackered and needs replacing so outsourcing the job to 'experts' is a major saving. I think though we'll have to whistle for the personal service that Ant provided.

Can we outsource the CEO?

You would have thought Ashley Carson would have had a directors whip round. They should hang their heads in shame.

Unless we're getting in an outside agency to do deal with the pitch I don't see how the position can be made redundant.

I've been asked to post that the ground staff have not been made redundant as of yet, they are under consultation and no decision has been made.

Under consultation don't make me laugh. That's just a way for the club to cover their backside, cross the t's and dot the i's and not get taken to a tribunal for not following legal procedures.
I've been made redundant several times, the latest just a year ago, and if it gets to that stage you're in trouble.
Really hope I'm wrong in this case.

Well it shows "they" read this board, and "they" will know what we think of them.
Btw who asked you Marcia if I may ask?

You should have told whoever asked you to do one and post it themselves or put a story on the official site explaining the situation if it bothered them that much.

Why feed it back? Why not turn round to him and refuse.. Tell him to show some bołlocks and face the post himself. He's essentially using you as his get out of jail free card and it's cringeworthy!

Agreed, I know Marcia wants Turner out, and fair play, but she should have refused.

Reign it in fella. Whilst I fully disagree with her being Carson's lap dog, there are ways to go about sharing your opinion. How your going about it is as cringeworthy as anything posted on this thread.

Perhaps but as clearly Ant thinks he's been made redundant it's good to see them backtracking and it migbt be something Ant can use to his advantage later down the line.
