Graham, can you find out if we have made offers/signed anyone? I see other clubs in this league have already announced signings and there is a paucity of information coming out of the club, are they all on holiday?

I hate close season.

Offers have certainly been made. I think it's fair to say the minute anyone puts pen to paper there'll be an announcement. This is always the worst/dullest period, just after the season.

I'm away next week so expect a deluge of news then.

Enjoy your holiday, coverage of the stuff around the club has been so much better in recent years and you deserve a break.... (maybe you can post a sly report or two of whom has been seen at the airport flying in to meet DA and JS...)

Presumably things will start to move after the play-off weekend coming up. I think this is when new signings started to appear last year. The close season news vacuum was filled by MA doing his Barnum act.

I hadn’t realised an offer was on the table to Hollis. His poor passing and inability to turn and run is a real concern for me. He’s not a natural fit for a side going to “take care of the ball”. Oh well. I agree we need speed on the flanks both defensively and in attack. Attack wise to cross the ball into Boden and Denton rather than high balls through the middle. To be fair this happened towards the end of last season through Chapman. Defensively to stop nippy wingers who caused problems for us last season.

I know we have no chance of signing him, but if we were to go with 3 at the back, someone similar would make an ideal candidate for the left wing back role but also capable of playing all down the left hand side

I was in Clun the day we beat Sheff U 3-2. Lovely place.
Doesn't sound like Donohue is fit at all, so he might be ideal for CFC.

Not sure I have ever met a CEO who is satisfied with sales, especially when they aren't at least 10% up on last year for no reason other than that was what he wanted!

He used the phrase "similar number to last year" where I might have said similar value to give myself a get out later if needed...

Hopefully the squad for next season will be assembled before the early bird deadline closes at the end of June allowing supporters to decide the pros and cons of buying a season ticket. Last season I suspect many bought into the rollercoaster PR of MA only to fall off mid-season and think never again. There were times when we wondered why we’d squandered our baby sitting allowance with grandparents watching the “entertainment” on offer at the Proact.

the reason I used satisfied not happy.... I would say that the message put out is a positive spin at this stage, they are expecting a late rush to match last years numbers but have no reason to base that on other than it works to say it..
