How much!!!!!!!!
I'm a big apple fan but at those prices they can stick em where the sun don't shine😧

How can they justify these prices when the new Android phones are just as good if not better?

Whatever people may say they are good devices but the new ones are just so expensive that I'm sure many will be like me and stay as they are or move to another make.

Our lass has managed to get herself a half decent deal.. Paying £50 for the handset and a monthly contract of £50, which includes unlimited texts, minutes & a few gb data.

I'll be keeping my 5s. Good devices but massively overpriced.

If it rings, you can send texts on it, it takes a decent photo and you can get the football scores on it, what more do you really need?

Put IOS 8 on my IPad last night. Can see barely any difference and photo stream is no longer there. So the 1000 photos that were in photo stream are no longer visible on IPad what a load of crock. Will not be updating my phone.

The big change with iOS8 is the access given to app developers to integrate into iOS now unlike before. You will start seeing bigger differences when they start updating apps with the new options they have. Things like widgets in the notification centre for quick access to things.

Whilst it doesnt look any different to iOS7 there is a lot of new stuff in there. This article will take you through a lot of it :-

With regards to photos they have changed things around. Photostream stuff should show under the Photos section with the Photos app along with anything on the phone as well organised by year, location etc. Recently added will show stuff taken in the last 30 days or the last 1000 photos...which ever comes first. There is also a recently deleted option for things you physically delete on the phone along the same lines so you can get them back should you wish.

The new health stuff is interesting especially when apps are updated to import data into it. I use Runkeeper for tracking walks etc so hopefully that will be updated in the near future.

In terms of phone prices...if you look at the Samsung Galaxy S5 or Galaxy Note they are around £550 sim free direct from Samsung as well so its not a massive difference compared to the iPhone.

I'm sticking with my iPhone 5 for the time being but i might look at the Apple Watch when thats launched. I wear a watch all the time anyway so one that makes things easier with the phone and other stuff is interesting.

I think its related to iCloud Drive now but my issue is that i back my photos up to OneDrive using their camera backup option so keep very few photos on the phone\ipad and not sure what or wasnt in photostream. I've seen a few folk saying stuff has reappeared after going to Settings > Photos & Camera and toggling "My Photo Stream" off then back on. They wont have been deleted as such just need to figure out how to get a view of them back on the device.

Having used Android phones for a few years, the IOS seems more robust - my Android phones were slowing down after 6 months, memory full after a year and totally inoperable after 18 months - Had the Iphone for over a year now and here's no noticable deterioration in performance.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

Its easier for Apple to develop and keep iOS that way as its only on a few closed shop phones....Android comes in so many different versions that work on so many different devices with different specs, screen sizes etc its hard to keep it as clean. Also not helped by manufacturers installing their own versions of it full of stuff rather than the bog standard clean Android which i believe is better.

I ran an iPhone 3GS for three years without an issues then upgraded to the iPhone 5 i have now which i've just updated to iOS8 and early indications are its fine. Just a case now of waiting for developers to take advantage of the new options available to them.

They do get somewhat bloated with "updates" that are not necessary but that's programmers for you in justifiying their jobs.

They both copy off each other and both have pro's and cons...lets not let another thread degenerate into a silly Android\Apple slanging match where anyone who happens to like an iPhone etc gets called names.
