Yep stupidity that anyone could have even contemplated ever putting a phone in their pocket. Shame on them. Nothing whatsoever to do with it being made wafer thin and out of pressed monkey metal. I reality terrible design, bad engineering and the designer should be on his way out.

For what its worth a few media places have reported on it and the number of bent phones is barely in double figures then you have the sort that will now think theirs is bent when its perfectly fine. Apple always get in the media spotlight with releases and the slightest thing will set of a torrent of reporting however if you google "Bent" then the name of various smartphones, especially the bigger phablet type phones, you will see reports of bent casings etc. I've spent over 2 years with my iPhone 5 in and out of my pocket although if i get in the car or at my desk i will take it out. Its not actually the iPhone 6 thats affected but the 6 Plus which is the massive 5.5 inch phone and shoving something that size in a pocket and then subjecting it to various forces by getting up or down or as some of them have done putting it in a back pocket and sitting on it then you are going to have an issue. Folk are always quick to blame anything but their own stupidity.

As for quick to defend Apple...you get plenty who are quick to have a pop at Apple. For what its worth i'm not keen on the new 6 Plus at all for the same reason i dont like a lot of the bigger Android phones....they are just to big. Half the time everything goes out the window and they just keep trying to make screens bigger or have the most megapixels on the camera which is pointless. I'm sticking with my 5 for the forseeable future if only because i like the size of it.

Stop talking sense. Don't you know that even old folk like Fish have to engage in juvenile my dads bigger than your dad type arguments every now and then. Makes them feel young again apparently.

I can understand this if you have child-like hands. I've tried to use my wife's iPhone 5 and it's too damn fiddly. I much prefer the screen on bigger phones so I stumped for a Galaxy Note 3 and find it perfectly comfortable in the hand. The problem with the iPhone 6 plus isn't the size, it's a design flaw. Look at bend test comparisons of the two phones I mentioned and then you'll see. I'm not completely anti-Apple either as I have an iPad mini2 and I think it's great. I just really don't like the iPhone of any iteration.

I have anything like child like hands but like the size of the iPhone 5. Can use it with one hand when required, fits comfortably in my pocket and if i need a bigger screen i have my iPad to use as well. Tried to use a Samsung Galaxy Tab at a friends house last night whilst looking for a holiday cottage to book and it was horrible...ended up doing it on my iPhone instead and found things far quicker. For some reason the browser on the Tab had all sorts of issues handling drop down boxes on various booking websites!

By the way the 4.7" iPhone 6 is fine its the bigger 5.5" 6 Plus that the "bendgate" issue is about and in various tests its middle of the road in terms of force required to bend it. There are still minimal reports of them actually getting bent during normal use as well but it seems anyone and their dog wants to put a video on YouTube of them sticking their thumbs in the middle of the back of a phone and then bending it from the ends which is going to knacker any phone! One video i saw a teenager goes to an Apple store in Norwich to do it and you can see his hands going white and trembling with the strain required to bend it! One video where a 6 Plus was bent easily was later found to be faked after the person who made it was found to have removed the strengthening within the phone!

My 6+ hasn't bent yet, and I don't expect it to ever do so

Your juvenile statement hints at bragging and boasting. Please feel free to highlight any such thing I have written in this thread and I will ask the mods to remove it post haste. As for the biggest thing of any kind I will boast that after reading your stupid post I certainly have a larger IQ than you. Prat.

You've contributed to a thread about a product you neither use nor like and have done nothing but have a go at it. You've also called Apple users "mugs". That is pretty insulting and juvenile. I don't use Samsung, Sony, Nokia or LG phones but have tried them all and all have very good things I really like and things I dont. I like IPhones and in your eyes that makes me a "mug" and I'm the juvenile one?
