Seems to me that Jack has found an eleven that he thinks he can work with and improve.

Something Caldwell never threatened to do.

Weir has had five yellows, I thought he was suspended. Possibly not because one counted towards his red and therefore not included in the totting up?

We wouldn’t field a player who’s suspended, don’t worry...

I'm surprised Brewster isn't involved with this wind. I'd back him to win a chase for a ball over the top.

And considering there is no out and out striker on the bench.

I'd never considered that you might select a player based on the movement of air on a particular day.

They could and should have had 4 at Crawley. Good times just...around the corner.

Whilst the missus and daughters spent my money in Tesco I recently spent a few minutes reading the latest 'When Saturday Comes' in their book dept. It contains an attendee's report of our game against Accrington and amidst pretty predictable comments on our stadium and plight mentions an interview with CO'G in the programme.

Rightly or wrongly it focussed on a supposed claim that being a player is a distraction from his growing property business.

Perhaps someone can reproduce his words verbatim. Perhaps it was a skewed reference. Perhaps it was entirely out of context.

Does make you wonder, though...

Ah, I think it was mark Jules once told me that Steve Gaughan was taken out of the starting eleven for a match once because John Duncan had decided it was too windy for him!

According to the fa website he has 4, along with Hird and Reed, so the red must have cancelled out that yellow.

Yes I have just looked there. Yet when he was booked on Tuesday I went straight to this page, and it showed 4 then, ‘next match Crawley’ as if the Crawley one would take him to 5.
As you say it suggests there has been clarity that his red v Coventry was for two yellows.

I'd have thought him being sh*t was good enough reason.

Talented player who didn't fit Duncan's style, like a few others, including Steve Wilkinson.
These go to eleven.

Oooppps.

That sounded like Anyon was back to previous form.

Good job the referee blew!

Are we finally getting that bit of luck we've gone so long without??
