Back in the day, some time after the Brown envelope era, their fans sang during (I think) a L1 promotion season "We'll never play you again". It seems highly likely unless there's a cup clash. Currently taking the urine out of a West ham side including Zabaleta and Chicarito on their own patch.

I'd like to see them both occupy two of the relegation spots come the season's final whistle.

I think it was during a L1 game after we were both promoted.

Shocker, that one. Right in front of the Kop. How the ref missed it, I'll never know.
These go to eleven.

My memory not the best but thought it was at cross st end. Just found it was January 2002 in the then 2nd division. They went 2 up and Willis pulled one back 4 mins from time. Their taunt song bugged me and I was sure we would play them again...but we never did afaik !

Played them again few years later. I went to the withdean, we scored and I think Folan got sent off. They were still waving brown envelopes at us then. Want to say it was 2005 maybe?

Are you sure? Were they ever relegated to 3rd tier?

Remember us playing em at home midweek twice. First time Ingledow scored late on then we had Em few years later and they were up in stand first half and we opened cross street up second half I think to let em on there?

2007 they won 1-0 at ours. That would be when they sang it. Michael Jordan (Don't remember him) was in goal for us and Paul Shaw was up front. He had a goal scoring pedigree that deserted him here if memory serves and was $H1te. Also don't remember Peter Holmes and Kyle Critchell (!).

That Ingledow winner was brilliant their fans spat the massive dummy and kicked off after after breaking a couple of advertising boards on the cross street in a hissy fit - class

they passed a brown envelope around their home end against us...i went to the game that was called off with a lot of other town fans

they hated us bigtime then. they hated "we're the real champions" the most.

Brighton were fellow promotion contenders during our season under Brown. The game at Saltergate (the one where Ingledow scored a late winner) saw a large following turn up, behave with an arrogance unbefitting an outfit who'd so often begged for - and received - the support of others, leading to aggro before and after the game.

By the time of the return fixture everything had been blown open and the CFSS had taken over. However rather than sympathise with fellow fans suffering in the same way they'd done they subjected ours', not to mention Town players and officials, to vicious abuse and mockery.

Worse still they took it upon themselves to launch some sort of media crusade against us, demanding far worse sanctions than had been applied whilst again conveniently forgetting we'd merely been victims as they had. And unfortunately a media who seem to see Brighton as some sort of success deserving darlings lapped-up such brazen hypocrisy.

I'll never forget or forgive.

That was a long time ago- let it go!
Brighton is a fantastic club - I was at the Withdean that night though and they were animals that night.

We'd have been the same in the circumstances
