How far is the ground from city centre? Going down in car early doors and was planning on drinking in the city before the game.

Only been a couple of times but I recall it is quite far - maybe 1 and a half to 2 miles away.

if you park up at newmarket road park& ride pay your pound parking fee then jump on park & ride bus 3quid return that will take you into town and back to footy ground buses every 15mins also we will be in cambridge haveing a pint if 4 of you in a taxi about a 10nr...but leave cambridge town center about 2.30 has traffic is bad to get there for kickoff

Last time I was there - 1989 - Paul Hart. I remember we won - just. Ground doesn't appear to have changed much - Dion Dublin played along with Steve Claridge and some other guy who we signed 4 years later (Duncan). Michael Cheetham?

Yes, Cheetham did nowt for us. That Cambridge side broke my young heart at Wembley later that season!
These go to eleven.

Didn't we get another one - Tony Dennis. He told Kev Randall to shut up at Worksop Town in a pre-season friendly!

Yes, I met him- nice lad. Duncan signed him then froze him out, possibly because of the aforementioned tendency.
These go to eleven.
