Actually a decent write up.....and good to know that even their supporters don't agree with the timing of their approach
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

Wilder applied and we opted for another candidate. As did Paul Tisdale and Justin Edinburgh. Their clubs were approached and we spoke with them. We then appointed Barker.

It appears you can only appoint a manager who has been sacked, or from a club below you in the league with out it being imorale.

The board shouldn't be vilified for doing what's best for the club they are the custodians of.

No one's said that. As your fellow Portsmouth fan said, it's the timing that stinks.

PC has brought all this on himself. Portsmouth have to approach him if he is favourite simply because they can't approach second favourites before PC's position is clarified. If they wait, their position is compromised. We have been messed about by PC and his agent.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

The Pompey fan has said that by likening this situation to when we interviewed Wilder.

I completely understand why you are annoyed at the timing but frankly that's not Portsmouth concern and I really don't think there is any such thing as morale high grounds in football its up there with arms dealing and drug dealing for a industry with a lack of morales.

No moral high ground here.

However, if you are to be the pinnacle of his ambitions, you can have him.
As I don't believe you are (& neither are we to be fair) - just Fook off and stop trolling.

Even if PC was considering the approach, could the 2 clubs not have just kept it between themselves until the end of May?

I guess Radio Sheffield's Andy Giddings can answer as it seems he broke the news

Possibly, but surely the source must have originated from us or Pompey? Why couldn't select members of the press have been briefed beforehand that something was kicking off and politely asking him not to disclose until later?
This smells more and more like a 'spin doctor' job, just not sure who's PR dept it's coming from

Our club knew nothing of the approach, before the approach

I've seen Pompey fans saying their club didn't reveal it either, but it's clear that someone did??
