The odds would be even shorter had it been sorted 1/3 with skybet, it's possible this is a reflection he's going to meet them

No it's not. Look. Paul Cook is still manager at our club, IF we do get promoted he will still be our manager.
He has masterminded a plan to get us into the playoffs and has still got a job to do.
This train of thought that he shouldn't be in charge is disgusting and downright disrespectful to the man who has put his heart & soul into getting us into this position. It needs to stop because our season still has a minimum of three games left to play, we need positivity not this kind of drivel being spouted off.

Well said.
A deal might happen today, it might happen tomorrow, but if no deal's done between now and next Sunday / play offs, do people really think it would be a good idea to stick him on gardening leave?
Paul Cook, HIS staff & HIS players got us here, could you imagine the reaction if a decision was made to take him out of the equation because another club has expressed an interest in his availability?

And PC should come out and make a honest statement on the matter one way or the other. IF he's going then we can't do anything about it and he should admit it, and we thank him and wish him well.
IF he's staying then we are ALL united, focused and ready to have a real go at the playoffs together.
I desperately don't want him to leave, but surely it's the right thing to do and not to try and lead us through the playoffs when he's already agreed to sign for another club (if he has that is)

You're not kidding and there should be a FL ruling against this sort of thing to prevent it from happening again. I'd like to see a 10pt deduction for the following season. Basically when the season reaches say 'April' and a clubs season is still alive an approach can't be made for the manager. Once a team mathematically has nothing to play for then an approach can be made even if it's after the deadline date.

The club has to behave like any business would. No room for sentiment
I'm not privy to what's going in the club, but if the hierarchy feel it's having an impact, they should resolve this ASAP.
If there's no impact, then there's no action to be taken.

Portsmouth made an approach. The club have declined their request. We move on. Can someone explain to me on what grounds we would put Cook on gardening leave .? .
It seems to me that many on here are just as 'guilty' as Turner for perhaps not engaging brain before implementing mouth / keyboard.
We're in the play offs for a chance of tier 2 football. First realistic opportunity since Cox's tenure and all most folk on here can do is speculate and rumour monger on here about something they frankly know nowt about...
Pathetic.
