It's not expecting too much for an announcement at this stage is it?

My guess would be an announcement on Wednesday after Dale have played Orient.

If we both in play offs we will get both tiers

Maybe. Though apparently Bradford caused chaos around Sheffield on Saturday after they took a load of boys - a United fan suggested that might be enough for SYP to limit us to the bottom tier (probably garbage mind you).

If nothing to play for it won't kick off, hence the wait

Dunno about you, but if I was choosing a place to cause trouble it sure as hell wouldn't be there. South Yorkshire Police love to wave sticks around without good reason, let alone with it. And I doubt it would be difficult finding locals who enjoy a scrap too.

I thought the default allocation was the upper tier?

IF nothing to play for, then I'm not sure if I'm that bothered about getting a ticket. Far sooner save some dosh for the playoffs.

Tickets for Chesterfield’s final game of the season, away at Sheffield United, will go on sale on Monday, April 27.

The Spireites have been allocated 3,000 tickets for the fixture on Sunday, May 3 (kick-off 12.45pm).

A total of 1,000 tickets will be sold online to season ticket holders only from 6am (one ticket per season ticket card). Tickets will then go on sale to season ticket holders only at the ticket office at the Proact Stadium at 9am (one ticket per season ticket card).

Tickets are priced as follows:

£24 for adults

£18 for senior citizens (over-60s)

£14 for students in full-time education with a valid NUS card/young adults (17-21)

£12 for under-17s. A limited number of tickets are available for ambulant disabled/helper and wheelchair users/helper, priced at £18 for the disabled supporter and free of charge for the carer.

The fixture is strictly all-ticket with no sales on the day.

Just seen the announcement on the club site. Not making it easy for fans to get tickets by putting them on sale at 9am Monday morning. Don't they know that most of us have jobs to go to. Alright you can buy online but that is fraught with difficulties as everyone has to get up early, and presumably given the sale is so close to the actual game we will have to pick them up from the ground, which means people having to take time off work. If they had been sold online this week people could have picked them up Saturday.
