Oh no, people have to put a bit of effort into getting a ticket shocker

I used to like turning up at a ground, paying me money and getting in! Simple.

Worst case Scenario, no more Tickets and all on the Last Game. Where we buying tickets in the home end? John st stand or the one opposite? I've already registered on the piggies site and its easy to book em.

That would be last resort for some I imagine as we may get more than the initial 3000 tix

Given the history of SYP's 'crowd management' skills, the potential importance of the game and the general history of the fixture, going in the home end would be thing I'd consider as my final option - though, in fact, I would probably not bother. Unfortunately, I'm going to be in Bratislava when we play this game, so in a sense it's saved me from all the heartache of trying to get a ticket. However, if I did need one, I would hold off booking anything elsewhere in the ground because I reckon there is every chance that, when we have sold out our allocation by noon on Monday, they will give us the upper tier - probably on police advice, if nothing else.

Just seen the announcement on the club site. Not making it easy for fans to get tickets by putting them on sale at 9am Monday morning. Don't they know that most of us have jobs to go to. Alright you can buy online but that is fraught with difficulties as everyone has to get up early, and presumably given the sale is so close to the actual game we will have to pick them up from the ground, which means people having to take time off work. If they had been sold online this week people could have picked them up Saturday.

I wouldn't worry about it. You'll get an additional allocation if you need it? The away end can hold about 5,000 and it sounds like they've just given you the top tier for now. After the results this weekend it will be apparent that this is a game with nothing at stake for either club, just a little dress rehearsal for the play-offs.

I hope you make it Wembley, I really do. It would be fantastic to have a Blades v Chesterfield final. And as a Chesterfield born Blade I'd be proud to see both teams trooping out there. If we don't make it through and you do, I'll be there supporting Chesterfield in the final.

We've already got bits of both tiers as I understand it.

if hundreds of Spireites start buying home tickets now, that'll increase demand for home tickets and hasten any decision to open up the top tier to home fans, surely?

Tbh I don't think the uptake will be tremendous. It's on bank holiday Sunday, effectively a dead rubber and people will want to save cash for the playoffs.

Maybe, but I would expect the 3000 initial allocation to sell very quickly

That sounds as though there's room for more tickets then - any chance of someone confirming what location our allocation covers in the away end.

I guess they are assuming all will go to season ticket holders... which in fairness they probably will.

I think the majority will be non season ticket holders - the old farts don't like too much upheaval in their Saturday routines.

Is it possible to get official confirmation of a kick off time?

Our OS says 12:45pm whilst BBC has all League One games set to start at 12:15pm

I'm guessing it's us that's wrong?

The Barnsley KO at home to Dale could be delayed as the Toure De Yorkshire goes through Barnsley that day.

Kick off time cant be changed as all games to kick off at the same time on the final day. Tour de Yorkshire briefly passes through whilst the game is being played anyway as the stage 3 timings have it in Barnsley at 12:40pm'ish. Road closures etc are only in place a short while either side of the bikes passing through as well so in theory not a lot of disruption. The route also isnt that close to the ground.

If it comes down to a last game shootout and Preston are promoted could this game be on sky.Apart from Chelsea v Palace theres no other game worthwhile.

It appears to me the club seem to have forgotten about this game. I can see deatils about the buses to Bramall Lane but no details at all about the tickets. Now we have already got the play offs im guessing some season ticket holders wont bother, so guessing if im right thinking we have 3000 tickets and they go on sale on monday to season ticket holders then work their way down to the club lottery contestants and then even though were not mentioned the loyal people who travel home and away without paying anything apart from the tickets. Is this right? If so why are the deedas not giving us any more tickets?
