A. Kyle Bennett was but is obviously off it now. I can reveal targets and need to keep targeting potentially. We cannot afford the quality we want, we have to keep developing it.
Q. Banks and Gardener are massive pluses but have struggled a little this season
A. Our first team is now better than it was when they signed so players must maKe the step up quickly from non league ton league 2 to league 1 quickly and it's tough on them.

A: We haven't signed anyone, we haven't invested.... if we go through this window and don't properly invest this same team will have gone through two years without proper strengthening.
Our budget was set at the start of the season, the budget dictated that we lost Richards and din't replace him. I don't want to criticise the club, or myself... lets move on.

A. Barnsleys will be 3 or 4 times ours, but Lee has inherited a team and has to do his best with what he has. The club has to set itself a limit and work within it. Our squad got between 10-15% increase for going up, which swallowed up the savings for players leaving.

A: Lets me clear, we have a decent budget, I don't want to get into what we pay wages wise etc.

A: He's like Dan Gardener, he just never seems to get a run. He hasn't put Tommy under the pressure he should have, I hope he can step up.
Q:how did you approach telling him your moving him again 'positionally' in the team?
what was his reaction to the left back position?
A: I just told him he's playing left back.

Paul Cook:
The players genuinely appreciate what it means to be a supporter and thank each and everyone one of you for following us all over the country. Times are hard, the players know that and do appreciate our support.

A: I don't want to criticise anyone so I am going to decline the question...... Paul Mitchell can only recommend players who can make us better, we haven't signed any of them....
We were in for Higdon and we baulked at the money, we couldn't afford it (still think he would have been good for us). Mitch does a great job for us.
I asked this question and was a bit taken aback at his answer. I thought it was an in our question and would give him the chance to praise the contribution of Paul Mitchell and list all the bargains he had found us and give him some recognition. I didn't mean it as an implied criticism of anyone. Not to worry though. I actually saw cookie very briefly later and I told him I didn't mean to be awkward and I didn't take offence at the fact that he declined the question. He said it was fine and it's just about money. In a couple of days I will type out a full account of what I remember of the meet. Right now I am typing all this in a Samsung s4 and it's a bit laborious

Or maybe it had been said earlier in and around Brampton and he'd already had a rollocking.
