Interesting that after 5 home games our average attendance is standing at 6,973, very close to the figure requested by our chairman, but can we maintain it?

Another interesting point is that the average for games played on a Saturday only is 7,264.

Where we are compared with the final average for seasons past:-

0.01% up on season one
6.78% up on season two
28.39% up on season three
10.37% up on season four

So far, so good! :)

Did we get enough in today to get the average over 7k?

pft....couldnt get any closer! 7130 today. We had had 34865 in the 5 league games before this so 41995 after 6 games.

That gives us an average of (believe it or not) 6999

My fault, only scanned 1 ticket with me taking the little lass instead of my eldest. Didn't want her to get stuck on the other side if my ticket didn't work.

Sorry!

Edit: it helped Whitman with his attendance prediction though!

Given the performances and entertainment value its about time there were 7000 home fans each game.....a couple of wins on the bounce now will help towards that.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

As mentioned above we now stand at an average gate of 6,999 after 6 games, will he be happy so far, I think so!

Still interesting, to me at least, is that for games played on a Saturday the average is 7,237. Worth changing a mid-week game if we have an early FA Cup exit?

0.39% up on season one.
7.18% up on season two.
28.88% up on season thee.
10.79% up on season four.

Will this be our best season so far?

Perhaps the original Swindon fixture being postponed will be a blessing in disguise.

From a relatively ordinary fixture between two clubs still finding their way, it could now become a top six clash with Town capitalising on our reputation as the entertainers of the division.

Two positive results between now and then and that average can only continue to rise.

After 8 home games the average attendance stands at 6,825, though it does include a midweek game, and with our poor form of late is it only to be expected? Will the Barnsley game help?

The average for games played on a Saturday is 7,108. Will this figure be enough for the Chairman?

Down 2.11% on season one.
Up 4.52% on season two.
Up 25.67% on season three.
Up 8.03% on season four.

Don’t think so, the Barnsley match will give it a temporary boost, after that who knows!

The higher the average, the more ammo the manager will have to go to the chairman to ask for reinforcements come January. The upward trend is encouraging but the increase is so slow ATM. Donny, Barnsley, Coventry and Peterborough to come will increase it considerably, but there's still a lot of marketing to do. Staying in this league is paramount to sustaining the upward flow through the turnstiles. It's small margins that make the difference and these small increases are making a difference!

One off increase, yes, but a general downward trend. Barnsley should be around 7,500.
