Sounds like their cup final has come early

I think we could have a huge demand on our hands here and hope the club recognise that and at least start talking to Chesterfield about sending for the "extension pack" of extra tickets they sometimes give away teams.

Of course, this will depend on whether Chesterfield think they can get a home sell-out, but GTFC need to make them aware that unless our fans can be catered for via a generous away allocation, then they run the risk of having lots of GTFC fans in home areas and will need to plan accordingly.

If they bring 2000 which wouldn't surprise me, yes.

It also wouldn't surprise me if there are a few punch ups around town that day.

Sigh, testosterone & alcohol sadly equals brain dead louts in far too many cases. They should have a test so that only those who can hold their beer without losing their humanity, are allowed to drink. Real men as it were.

Aye remember that. One of the lads jaw is probably part of the footings at the houses on Saltergate

Will certainly be lively judging by the past couple of times I remember playing them home and away

More than their fair share of scroats and knuckle draggers and the odd punch up would appear inevitable. But it's not Saltergate so I think they would find it difficult buying tickets for the home end and having them posted to Cleethorpes. If they que on the day their police spotters will have them. As an aside I've never understood why this game and Lincoln which both have potential for trouble are allowed to kick off at 3pm yet the Stain game is stupid o clock.

Plod have to justify the existence of their "intelligence unit"??? So have to be seen to be pro-active at least once a season, the scabs tick that box automatically so that'll do for the season. No more intelligence required.

If they used historical evidence they may have chosen the f..ny sniffs game, but with it being first game of the season its probably not etiquette.

It so easy to sit behind a keyboard and announce "we are going on the home end" with deedahs apart how often does it happen?

Both Grimsby and Lincoln have a leave embargo and cancelled rest days for the "plod" so yes they are aware and putting extra resources onto it.

So why do we have to have the cursory inconvenience of an once a season early kick off, when if historical evidence was used Grimsby would rate as an equal or even greater threat than the scabs?
