They're doing more than surviving, currently in 6th position. Admittedly, it's still very early days, but with wins against Wednesday and Derby already, who knows. Well done to them, especially considering where they have come from and taking everything into account. It doesn't seem to long ago we was there winning 2-0 to win promotion to league one.

Just shows what can be achieved when the club is run correctly off the field and in Robinson who's a fan of the club.

Id a funny feeling before the season that they would compound the critics and comfortably survive. Early doors but it looks like I might be right.

They are a very well run club off the field, infact the polar opposite of us at the minute.

Shame on DA

Shame on DA for still employing a Turnipe to run the club. That's where all our problems start and finish.

 Agree. On face value we seemed to be a successful club since moving to our new ground. How looks are deceiving. We should by now have been challenging for the Championship ourselves but perhaps we came too close for some in our playoff season.

Strange how the fixture list has given them three local derbys so quickly together - Forest, Bowels and Rams!!!!

Well they have to survive for 46 games at least. They've done remarkable to get there but I don't think we can yet hold them up as a beacon for surviving in the championship on low gates.

We should all rejoice at a club smaller than us in terms of fan base, ground capacity etc doing so well, in footballing terms maybe the only thing they have that we don't is ambition. Burton is a wonderful club, with great down to earth fans who have always been nothing but complimentary towards us. It is also a cracking away day so it's win, win in footballing terms and long may it continue for them.

The only way they were going to get there was by a special set of circumstances not least a very good manager who attracted committed if unspectacular players working to a disciplined team plan and on a lowish budget. That's what JFH managed to do there and grab all those 1-0 wins in L1. Clough almost blew it but he seems to have signed well. They weren't going to get there by a Rotherhamesque spend so whether they have been ambitious or to some extent got lucky is arguable. They still aren't easy on the eye judging by last night but hard work, organisation and a fair wind can get you a long way as we saw in the Euros.
The Burton way may be the only way we will get there given DA's retrenchment programme whether Danny can do that on modest money remains to be seen.

The above statement is the polar opposite imo of how our club is being run at the moment

The next rant about our crowds not being able to achieve Championship football should directed about
35 miles down the A38 to enquire how it is actually possible to do so
