Don't know but he certainly was not the Angel some think he was and doesn't deserve the high esteem and hero status some bestow on him. A good singer but not a good person

Hero status?....more like god status for me. And a bad person, of course none of us were there but I've read everything, official and unofficial that there is. Never any corroboration about rent boys etc etc, and given today's views on stars and scandal I think that speaks volumes.

Of course all of us can only relate to the printed word on this because of the time elapsed, but I thought that when he became aware he was indeed HIV positive he was already with his partner Jim Hutton, indeed it was stated that when he met Jim his behaviour literally changed overnight knowing he'd found his life partner. But having unprotected sex when you have AIDS is different from having unprotected sex when you know you have AIDS!
