Great start to the season

What's good about 'Dem Blades' winning?

You gotta give credit where it’s due, and wilder has done a magnificent job at rammed lane on a limited budget.
A new hope.

Really couldn’t care less about the premier league, my only hope is that the greed means that it one day ends up eating itself

Fabulous job. I'm pleased for him as he seems a good genuine guy.

But it's no good for us.

It's a shame that it had to be a Sheffield club that benefitted but Wilder is just pure genius with the way he has risen to the top table.

Surely it is all due to Alan Knill?
These go to eleven.

Agree with firedodger; financial greed will destroy it, with a helping hand from the complete and utter monstrosity called VAR.

PL is on the verge of self imploding and I for one can't wait for it.

VAR is probably one of the final nail in the coffin for match going fans in terms of turning this league into an absolute joke.

Used to go out my way to watch the footy on tele, just sat and watched the cricket yesterday instead.

And the Sterling comment above is very funny too

Not sure about the PL imploding (hope it does) but I'd equate it to a 'black hole' tats sucks everying in until nothing else exists

Agree with everthing else though.

I watched Punjab United v Broadbridge Heath in the FA Cup streamed live on the BBC rather than Man City put 5 past a hapless West Ham. It really is a fine antidote to all the PL guff, try it out

I couldn't be bothered to watch either of the games yesterday. Cricket stayed firmly on. I'll watch the game later though.

I'll watch games if there is nothing else on, didnt really make any attempt to watch it yesterday. Just got a bit fed up of it all with all the fake excitement on Sky about games, deadline day, Super Sunday when its two rank ordinary sides being shown to get their allocation of TV games in. Its all about TV, mainly abroad, these days with very little thought for fans who go and thats not just premier league but all of them....see Saturday lunchtime when they switched Sunderland v Portsmouth to 12:30pm kick off meaning Portsmouth fans leaving in the early hours of Saturday to get there for kick off. Throw in the so called TV rights monopoly stuff so you now need to have subscriptions to Sky, BT and Amazon to watch games in some veiled reasoning that its better for fans and its nonsense.

This said whilst TV companies are paying silly money for TV rights the bubble wont burst.
