Spending money doesn't guarantee decent - we can name a few strikers who have cost money one way or another and haven't pulled up any trees.

I can't get too excited until I know we have got a decent striker to replace Dennis. I trust Martin and I'm sure he is building a strong squad. Its going into the unknown as a non league fan that is worrying me. Signing a decent striker soon would add a bit more excitement for the start of the new season and I'm sure that we'll sell quite a few more ST, I can't say I'm looking forward to the season starting just yet, but that one signing could make all the difference in at lot of ways.

The thing is it's likely to be someone we don't know much about, like most of MAs signings, so it's hard to attract what might be seen as an exciting signing...it won't be a marque signing that will sell STs. Even Akinde wouldn't be that. For eg Allen wanted to sign Blissett. He doesn't have a scoring record to crow about and I bet a lot of us had never heard of him.What Allen is trying to do is assemble a group.of players equipped to get us back into L2. Not big names. If it works home crowds will become good.
