Totally not interested in this cup anymore!
Win it and you don't seem to gain much financially!
Plus with a smaller squad we can't afford any injuries from these games.
It's a no from me.

Let's hope we don't get to the final and spend more on bonuses than the amount of prize money we receive

Agreed. The only positives of doing well in it was the trip to Wembley and the financial gain. Scene as we've been twice and there's little to no financial gain, I wouldn't care if we lost to Mansfield in the 1st round.
Here we go again!

A waste of time and a distracton from our main aim trying to stay in league one.And the Wembley following second time around showed that the novelty had worn off.

Novelty? Cup final? I know its not the league or FA cup, but surely not a novelty, or dont we like winning things in Chesterfield?

16000 people suggests it was quite popular amongst local folk.

Still a bloomin trophy win isnt it? Or would you rather we not bother trying to win things and be a success?

Still significantly down on the previous visit suggesting that a lot of people had seen it done it and got the tee shirt.Really the point is apparently we don't make any money out of it as it's all swallowed up by bonuses,We have a small squad and could incur injuries to key players/fatigue/suspsensions.

You can not be serious! :o

Never happen anyway, they've had their once in a century freak occurrence last season.
Fight for your opinions, but do not believe that they contain the whole truth, or the only truth.

In the unlikely event of a repeat this coming season the numbers would likely be the same again. The issue is the bonus structure that we'd concocted as it should have made the club a decent wedge.

Some people need to get a grip and stop acting like glory hunting premiership clubs showing no effort in domestic cups. Yeah it puts a risk to league form but there is something special about advancing through a cup right down to Sunday League as people that play will know it. And what does the fall in Wembley following matter, all that goes to show is the amount of fake fans that wanted a slice of i was there and was a massive Chesterfield fan for one day only and went it comes to the less glamorous ties of Morcambe or Dag & Red at home, it's back to no interest, never going to go type of fans we don't need
