Have we saddled ourselves with another O"grady/ebanks-blake?Big earner(for this level),long contract?not convincing on the goal return front?orcould a solid confidence boosting pre-season,bring out a capable goalscorer. Was this J R's final parting shot knowing he was about to be suspended!

I would have thought that any signing, along with the cost involved, would have had to have the approval of the Trust.

Whilst he may have not hit the ground running I really do hope the lad doesn't read these boards because it must be extremely confidence sapping to take in his lack of acceptance and the criticism aimed at him.

'Lack of acceptance'? Not sure what you're getting at there.

He's not been very good and he will be know what without reading this.

On the contrary, I really hope that the criticism drives him on. To me, his performances smack of him never having put the necessary long hours in on the training ground as his technique is blunt, but it's hopefully not too late.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

He needs to start by learning to hold up the ball and lay it off- are there any old videos of Phil Walker doing the same?
Against Torquay when he did control the ball with his back to goal, he invariably tried to turn to goal, and lost out to one or two men treading on his toes.
And how to stay onside.

I spoke to one of town's analysts in the pub after a previous game. Think it was Yeovil. He said he wasn't signed by James rowe as a parting shot and that quigley is thought of very well by the manager and coaching staff. Said in training he is very good and it's a confidence thing.

And how to stay inside.

The Masters - Jack and Rod Fern - knew where their markers were and made good decisions.

To me though, Quigley is poor at the basics, both heading and shooting techniques. It's a terrible waste given his physique.

If he’s confident he must improve 400%. I’m looking forward to it!

He was going summat right at Yeovil. I just can’t see him coming good here. He doesn’t look like a player that will suit a PC team. With 1 up top next year it’ll be Tshimanga.

He had one really good performance at Wealdstone, he won balls in the air, was aggressive, never stopped running and scored a good goal. That had to be a big confidence booster but he seems to have gone backwards since.

Maybe it’s our lack of wingers or someone running at defences. We’ve had half a season without any of this.
God I hate this league.

Needs to learn how to work the opposition defence more...he is too one-dimensional.....one defender marks him all games, when he should be moving along the back line getting various defenders to mark him.....Like KT does....make yourself difficult to mark..create space for yourself, make defenders move out of position & create openings for your team mates to work into.....he's not clever enough

Not clever enough, inaccurate shooting, inaccurate heading, constantly offside and frequently loses it when it’s played up to him. Absolute rhubarb.
