I would have thought that any signing, along with the cost involved, would have had to have the approval of the Trust.

Whilst he may have not hit the ground running I really do hope the lad doesn't read these boards because it must be extremely confidence sapping to take in his lack of acceptance and the criticism aimed at him.

He won’t need Bobs Board to tell him his goals per game return has been poor for chesterfield fc will he
A new hope.

The Masters - Jack and Rod Fern - knew where their markers were and made good decisions.

To me though, Quigley is poor at the basics, both heading and shooting techniques. It's a terrible waste given his physique.

Lack of aggression is his biggest weakness and if you don’t have it you can’t change a player

19 goals in 61 appearances , including a hat-trick at Yeovil. They can't all have been tap ins. Difficult to understand based on a recent 1 in 3 record. Toss up between him and Denton who is currently worse. He has time to get better if that is possible - Denton doesn't.

How boring - more lazy and inaccurate comments re Denton. Denton's goalscoring stats are in fact far better than Quigley's, and Denton is a much more effective front man and an immeasurably better set piece defender. Have you ever wondered why PC selects Denton regularly ahead of Quigley? No I thought not. I'd suggest your opinions would carry more weight if they were based on facts, rather than the weird illogical prejudice that infects a minority of our posters.

Is that an actual fact that PC selects Denton more than Quigley? Or is more likely based on availability due to injuries.

There’s half a good player if we combine Quigley, Payne and Denton altogether in one Frankenstein’s monster type scenario. And then only half a good player.

If Rowe knew he was about to be axed, then so did the Board.

In which case why sanction a Gritton style deal?

Yes, one of the most stupid conspiracy theories yet

Chairman “James you are being investigated for serious sexual misconduct and could be suspended any day now, do you have anything to say”

James “Yes, I want to sign Quigley from Yeovil for a significant fee”

Chairman “Go ahead, we have every confidence in your judgement”

Seem to remember it at the time?

Tom scored the perfect hat trick at Billericay, head and both feet.

You are living in the past Dave. Jack Lester scored the perfect hat trick against Rotherham many seasons ago - so what? We have two strikers who are both currently rubbish. Denton, at 33 at the start of next season won't be here in my opinion - Quigley will be, like it or not.My comment about Quigley's goals and hat-trick at Yeovil was not to suggest that he was a good player and better than Denton, but to be puzzled why he did that at Yeovil not too far back , but has looked so poor with us..A goal of any sort would be nice from one of them at the moment - as for a hat trick, that must be a million to one chance.

Not that it matters really but Jacks hat trick versus rotherham wasn’t a “perfect hat trick” it was left left head.

Really - thought it was. Anyway, Jack was as near to perfection that we are ever likely to see again in a blue shirt. Unfortunately his time had to come to an end with us. Denton's is fast approaching and Quigley, unfortunately, if he continues to be as poor as he has been, is what we will be left with. The Whistler for one seems to think he might come good - he has a lot to do.

Quiggers should have scored at Halifax in the League. He was clean through to put us 1-0 up at a time when we were dominating the game, but sailed it over the bar. Lets hope if he plays next week that he can put his demons to bed.
